'I SHED MY SKIN'
The snake shed head encapsulations were an extension that grew out of regional folk lore where I grew up in south west Texas. My grandfather was Native American and on hot days would hang a dead rattle snake on a fence for rain. This indigenous practice along with the shocking shed discoveries I would find waking in the desert lead to this series of work.
